About Have A Heart
The Have a Heart Project is designed to assist families in school District 50. Families with children registered in the free and reduced lunch program. School employees may also send a referral letter on letterhead with the family so that they can come to Have a Heart. Families must have either the free and reduced letter from the school district or a referral letter from the school to attend Have a Heart. That is the only requirement
We are open twice a month and give out clothes, a food box, soaps, personal hygiene items and toothbrushes and toothpaste when we can afford to buy them.
All the volunteers at Have a Heart also works full-time jobs. We are always eager to have school volunteers, students or staff. Please email Debbie@smithworldtravel.com and let her know when you would like to volunteer.

In December 1996 the "Have A Heart Project" was begun as a 3-way cooperative effort between the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Adams County School District 50 and Smith World Travel. We have served over 10,000 children and their families. We are feeding between 500 & 700 people every two weeks.
"Have A Heart" does not receive any matching funds. All work is done by volunteers. There is no direct overhead cost to the project. Individuals, businesses and service organizations contribute to keep "Have A Heart" operating. Resources and contributions provided by the community can go a long way in making a difference in the lives of school aged children and their families
