Across Mexico, in villages and cities, in mountains, tropical coasts and jungle settings....enchanting surprises await you. Fantastic small town festivals, delightful dining at sunset and some of the world's best beaches.
Special of the month:
Aguascalientes
The state of Aguacalientes is located midway between the center and west of Mexico, and is completely surrounded by the states of Jalisco and Zacatecas. It was the land of the fearless Chichimecs that fiercely resisted the Spanish conquistadors. Paradoxically, yet perhaps because of its numerous gold veins, Aguascalientes is one of Mexico's most important colonial architectural sites. The climate in Aguacalientes, Mexico is pleasant, since most of the territory has a dry, semi-desert climate with summer rains.
The countryside ranges from forests to desert-like areas, with stunning sunsets. The abundance of hot water springs, after which it is named, means that the state has numerous recreational centers and spas. Its cultural activity, traditions, delicious cuisine, as well as fiestas and other Aguacalientes events, form an attractive mosaic that is well worth visiting. |
